Adoption

We both have felt for many years that we wanted to adopt. We felt it was something we both could do well and wanted to do. It has always been on the table for us. Especially with both of us being very pro-life, we know that all children are from God and a blessing! So after being married almost 10 years (this September) we have decided to follow our hearts and listen to where God is calling us.

We, of course, have always wanted children and have tried for a few years to make that happen and after two miscarriages – our hearts were broken. We do not plan to end the journey for biological children but for now we know this is where our hearts are at. We have been praying hard for our future children and can not wait to see how our story turns out.

With us choosing adoption, we soon realized the expense that comes with it. We know that God calls us to take care of His orphans and we know that God will help us provide to take on such a big task. So with that being said we are asking for our loved ones to help us. We know He will provide a way for us to raise the amount we need to get us through the entire adoption process.

Our agency recommends that we are financially ready before we submit our profile to the potential birth moms. The main reason being, we could be notified weeks before and will need to have the finances available, even on short notice. So we have been putting money aside and knowing that the cost of adoption is more than we can handle on our own, we are asking for help from our family and friends.
